April Update


What's new

The following new content and functionality were added to Thomson Pharma on 23rd May:

  • A new FDA Advisory Committee portlet has been added. This provides the latest information on drugs currently being reviewed by the FDA. You can access the portlet via the Licensing and Development and Competitive Intelligence Home Pages
  • Within Intellectual Property reports, you can now obtain information about the INPADOC legal status of a patent by using the Legal Status link in the Related Information section of the left-hand menu
  • Quarterly earnings are now included as part of the financial data found within Company reports
  • A Company Collaborations field has been added to Company reports. This enables you to see which company an organization is collaborating with on drugs. You can also see which of the collaborators is the originator of the drugs
  • You can now link from Drug reports to Literature and News reports through a bibliography of references
  • Literature and News reports now include author abstracts from the world's leading scholarly journals drawn from ISI Web of KnowledgeSM, Web of Science®, Derwent Drug File, and IDdb
  • Three new portlets have been added to Targets reports:
    • Drug Lifecycle portlet—enables you to view a graph for each target showing the development status of drugs that have a specific interaction with that target, based on the lowest level of drug interaction
    • Function portlet—enables you to now view information on a target taken from the Swiss-Prot database, the renowned public domain database of protein sequences
    • Protein Reference portlet—enables you to extend your research by linking to the full Swiss-Prot record, which contains a high level of annotations

Hints & tips

  • In Intellectual Property reports, you can see where and when an invention has been patented by viewing extensive patent family information and linking to related patents
  • In Intellectual Property reports, you can easily find commercial drug information by using the Drug Links within the Related Information section
  • You can easily change the frequency of your e-mail alerts. Simply select Saved Searches and use the drop down box to select the desired frequency
